Services · Consultation & Supervision

The work of a therapist is deep and often solitary. It should not have to be lonely.

You spend your days holding other people's inner worlds. You track the transference, sit with the silences, carry the weight of the difficult session home. And then, more often than the profession likes to admit, you do it without anyone to think alongside you.

This is a space for that thinking. I offer clinical supervision for associates building toward licensure and case consultation for licensed clinicians who want a thoughtful, experienced mind in the room with their toughest cases. It is peer to peer, colleague to colleague.

After more than fifteen years of practice, what I most want to offer younger and fellow clinicians is what I once needed myself: a place to be honest about the hard parts, to feel less alone in the chair, and to keep growing as the kind of therapist your clients deserve.

Who this is for

  • You are an associate or prelicensed clinician who wants supervision that develops you, not just signs off on you
  • You are a licensed therapist looking for ongoing or occasional case consultation on complex work
  • You want a supervisory relationship that is reflective and honest rather than shaming or evaluative in tone
  • You work with cultural identity, trauma, or attachment and want a consultant who takes that seriously
  • You want to sharpen how you think psychodynamically and relationally, not just accumulate technique

How I supervise and consult

My supervisory style is reflective and non-shaming. The consulting room can already be a place where we feel exposed by our own uncertainty, and I have no interest in adding to that. I want you to bring the session you handled badly, the client you dread, the moment you froze, because that is precisely where the learning lives.

I work from a psychodynamic, attachment, and relational orientation, so much of what we do is thinking together about what is happening beneath the surface: the transference and countertransference, the enactments, what the therapeutic relationship itself is telling us. We also stay attentive to culture, identity, and context, because responsive practice is never one-size-fits-all.

Whether you are accruing hours or a decade into licensure, my aim is the same, to help you trust your clinical instincts, understand your reactions, and become more fully yourself in the room. Good supervision is not about becoming me. It is about becoming a clearer, steadier version of you.

How we begin

01

A conversation about fit

We start by talking about where you are in your career, the kind of work you do, and what you are hoping for. Supervision and consultation are relationships, so fit comes first, before any commitment.

02

Shaping the arrangement

Together we decide what would actually serve you, ongoing supervision toward licensure or periodic case consultation, and what rhythm makes sense. Fees are individual and discussed openly.

03

Thinking together

In our meetings we work with real material from your practice, held over secure telehealth across California. Difficult cases, stuck points, and the moments that stay with you after the session ends.

04

Growth that lasts

Over time the goal is not dependence on supervision but a more grounded clinician: someone who can sit with complexity, use the relationship, and keep learning long after our work concludes.

Questions people ask

Good things to know

Do you supervise prelicensed associates, or only consult with licensed clinicians?

Both. I provide clinical supervision for associates and prelicensed clinicians developing toward licensure, and case consultation for licensed therapists who want an experienced colleague to think through complex work with them.

What does supervision or consultation cost?

Consultation and supervision are arranged individually rather than at a single fixed rate, so we agree on the particulars up front. You can find the general fee structure on the Fees page, and we will talk it through directly.

Can we meet remotely?

Yes. Supervision and consultation are held over secure, confidential telehealth across California, which makes it straightforward to work together wherever you practice in the state.

What is your theoretical orientation as a supervisor?

I work from a psychodynamic, attachment, and relational perspective, with close attention to cultural identity and context. If that framework speaks to how you want to grow as a clinician, we will likely work well together.
